Perhaps a key photo to include in this article might be one of the intersection of Highways 49 & 61. — ArkansasTraveler (talk) 16:37, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The intersection of Highways 49 & 61 is not accurate

[edit]

This description is highly misleading. The roads designated as the 49 & 61 are now part of the modern interstate whereas the crossroads in question now stands between the redesignated S State and N State Streets and the state highway 322. The crossroads is here [1] as the memorial can be seen clearly here on streetview [2]. This might have once been the H61 and and H49 but they are not now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.161.148.178 (talk) 10:31, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Crime" subsection

[edit]

I've at least temporarily removed the Crime subsection. The wording is expressing opinion and makes some rather strong charges and assumptions with no supporting ref at all. If it is added back then really needs to be Wikified. Sector001 (talk) 07:55, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of cleanup message

[edit]

This article contained a cleanup message placed at the top of the article stating that:

This article may contain wording that promotes the subject in a subjective manner without imparting real information. Please remove or replace such wording and instead of making proclamations about a subject's importance, use facts and attribution to demonstrate that importance. (October 2009)

The user who added the cleanup message did not include a comment about it here in the Talk section.

I've looked over the article and made some additions, particularly to the History section. The article seems balanced and factual, and does not appear to promote the city in a subjective way.

I will remove the cleanup message, and would appreciate discussion.

Thanks.

Magnolia677 keeps blocking these edits to this page and Coahoma counties pages. I have copied and pasted or back and forth on this.

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Clarksdale, Mississippi, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:09, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply][reply]

MAGNOLIA677 STOP BLOCKING THIS FACTUAL CHANGE. READ PAGE 1 OF THE DOCUEMENT IT STATES THESE ARE THE NEW 2023 UPDATES. ALSO AS AN EDITOR I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH YOU OVER THIS THREE TIMES. DID YOU READ PAGE 1 BRUH OF THE SOURCE DOCUMENT? THIS IS THE OFFICAL GOVERNMENTAL DESIGNATION FOR THE MEMPHIS COMBINED STATISITCAL AREA AND IT NOW INCLUDES CLARKSDALE. IN CASE YOU DID NOT READ PAGE 1 "Purpose: This Bulletin and its Appendix (the Bulletin) establish revised delineations for the Nation’s Metropolitan Statistical Areas, Micropolitan Statistical Areas, Combined Statistical Areas, and Metropolitan Division, collectively referred to as Core Based Statistical Areas. This Bulletin updates and supersedes OMB Bulletin No. 20-01, issued on March 6, 2020. The delineations of the statistical areas shown in the Appendix’s six lists take effect immediately. The Bulletin also provides guidance on the use of the delineations. This Bulletin does not affect any changes to the OMB standards." SEE PAGES 141, 151, 165, & 173 THEY ALL STATE CLARKSDALE IS NOW PART OF THE MEMPHIS COMBINED STATISTICAL AREA. ALSO I JUST ADDED THE POPULATION OF COAHAOMA COUNTY FROM THE 2020 CENSUS TO THE 2020 CENSUS POPULATION FOR THE MEMPHIS-FORREST CITY COMBINED STATISTICAL AREA. So I made approriate changes based on recent 2023 census update for combined statistical area. https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/OMB-Bulletin-23-01.pdf Lannyrodellross (talk) 00:13, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply][reply]
I have again reverted your edit. You keep saying it was formed in 2023, yet you cite this source from 2021. Please fix this before adding back into the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:49, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply][reply]
Your not going to bully me. Nor are you the master of all thing Mississippi on wikipedia. The source from 2021 is because the census have not done population estimates for 2023 yet. Clarksdale was just added in 2023 in July. So there will not be census population estimates that include it till next year. Also the population estimes come out the year after not the same year dude. What college did you go to? Where did you get you Master's or PHD from? Cause you are inteniollay dumbing down Mississippi wikipedia articles. Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Coahoma County, Mississippi, you may be blocked from editing. With this edit you wrote "In 2023 the Clarksdale, Mississippi Micropolitan area...as of 2023 had a population of roughly 1.4 million people according to census estimates." You did not include a source to support your edit. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:56, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply][reply]

http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Area_code_662 this lists Coahoma county as part of the Memphis metro area and does not cite any source. How come you are not attacking them? Dude your just mad from 10 years ago because i tried to take the LGBTQIA stuff down from the Mississippi entry. Let smart people with actual college degrees and who professionally in the Social Science update these old ass Mississippi wiki entries. Lannyrodellross (talk) 02:05, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
