"Support for an Egalitarian Republic"?? This is not a correct translation. "Affirmative" or "Affirmation" (or something like that) makes more sense. "Support" doesn't translate to "Afirmacion". Please comment or I'll change the name.

Sorry not to respond - I can't make up my mind. 'Affirmation' is such an ugly word and somewhat ambiguous in meaning but you're right - it is different to 'support'. I guess it's worth changing. Martín 08:12, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, actually I don't think that we should translate the name, meaning by this that a proper name and it's acronym should be mantained in its native language, and as additional data there should be a translation -for witch I would also prefer Affimation, regardless of how "ugly" you might think that word is. For example, ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna), SFIO (Section Française de l'Internationale Ouvrière) and FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) respect there original acronym, and therefore, the original languages of what the words abbreviated in those acronyms stand for. Like I said before, the translation should be incuded, but as an -undoubtly important- additional data.
Having said this, I'd like to open a discussion over the official ideology/political position shown in the infobox. Because, in my humble opinion, "Progressivism" and "Social Democracy" are hardly accurate descriptions of the ideology/political position of this party.
