1862 organ

I have found documentary evidence from several newspapers published in 1862 and available online, that the 1862 organ was built and installed by Messrs Halmshaw and Sons, Camp Hill, Birmingham. There is also mention that Halmshaw removed a previously installed organ in the Moor Street Chapel from an undisclosed manufacturer, refurbished it and offered it for sale. These newspaper articles can be reviewed in the British Newspaper Archives website either with a subscription, or free access via some public libraries. Following is a brief extract from the newspaper archives. Birmingham Daily Post, 2nd January 1862 Opening of the church of the Messiah An organ is being built by Mr. Halmshaw. Wiki (often unreliable) suggests first organ was from Nicholson. Note that at the time Halmshaw were offering for sale the old Organ from the original Moor Street Chapel which the Church of the Messiah replaced, see below.
