[edit]If somebody can help me with language and dictionary, I can start Chulym wikipedia, because I am native speaker, but do not know the language well, it is quite impossible to learn it even in Tomsk. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 07:28, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Data?
[edit]Hasn't there been any research on this language? Do we not have a citable reference for consonant and vowel inventories? I would have assumed that The Linguists would have created enough interest in this language so that we would at least have a paper or two to cite. 82.123.57.35 (talk) 22:40, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- There have been a couple of papers, but no grammar has been published yet. --Taivo (talk) 23:41, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
Classification
[edit]Do we have a basis for classification of Chulym as Siberian Turkish, beyond geographic location? Ethnologue classifies it as a relative of Baskhir and Tatar[1] and the article on Tatar classifies it as a Siberian Tatar language without citation (which we haven't here either). --Quintucket (talk) 05:02, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
