Reference
[edit]Some text in this article was taken from http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/chromosome=1 (public domain) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wouterstomp (talk • contribs)
I have added that source to the References list. However, I think the references made to it are too explicit not to have in-text citations. There are other references listed; they too do not have in-text citations. How is this handled? I was going to add a footnote (the Wikipedia citation system I am familiar with), but Wikipedia policy discourages mixing citation styles. - Slow Graffiti 21:20, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Number of genes

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Chromosome 1 (human). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20081025165252/http://today.reuters.com:80/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=scienceNews&storyID=2006-05-17T175734Z_01_L16646847_RTRUKOC_0_US-SCIENCE-CHROMOSOME.xml&pageNumber=1&imageid=&cap=&sz=13&WTModLoc=NewsArt-C1-ArticlePage1 to http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=scienceNews&storyID=2006-05-17T175734Z_01_L16646847_RTRUKOC_0_US-SCIENCE-CHROMOSOME.xml&pageNumber=1&imageid=&cap=&sz=13&WTModLoc=NewsArt-C1-ArticlePage1
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

Reminder
[edit]At the "Diseases and disorders" section, there is text "890 known diseases related to this chromosome". This number "890" was added by this edit in 2006. But source for this number is unclear. I think this kind of number should have source. As far as I know, OMIM would be good and useful candidate about genetic diseases and disorders. --Was a bee (talk) 23:32, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
sort by gene position
[edit]Is it possible to add another sorting method? It would be nice to sort the genes by position on the chromosome beginning with 1p11 or 1q11.CaffeineWitcher (talk) 16:25, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
