Proposed changes to the article
[edit]My primary discipline is biomedical engineering, and my secondary discipline is medical physics. I am also a fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine."American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine fellows list". Would someone please make those changes? (I'm afraid if I do, it will be deleted.)ChristyKHolland (talk) 18:34, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
As requested, here is a photo, that could be included in this biography: File:ChristyKHolland.jpg — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChristyKHolland (talk • contribs) 19:15, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the photo. Unfortunately, I will have to delete it because it appears to have been copied from this website which states that UC has the copyright. WP takes copyright violations very serious, for obvious legal reasons. There are two possible ways around this. The easiest is that you would upload a photo that is not copyrighted anywhere. The second is that this photo gets released under a CC license by the copyright holder (and then it can be undeleted). To achive this, you need to go through the OTRS system. I have no experience with that, but there are clear instructions and usually the volunteers over there are very helpful. Once that is done, I can add the photo to the article.
- As for the discipline thing, please have a look at the info box documentation. The "discipline" should be something like "physics", with the subdiscipline being a subfield of that (such as high-energy physics or optics). It would appear to me that biomedical engineering is a subdiscipline of either engineering or medical physics, is that correct?
- I'll add the fellowship with the AIUM. --Randykitty (talk) 21:21, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
