Definition is self-referential

[edit]

The definition given in the first line is self-referential: "Chinese Hamster Ovary cells (CHO cells) are a cell line derived from Chinese Hamster ovary cells." — Paul G 07:11, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about "Chinese Hamster Ovary cells (CHO cells) are a cell line derived from the cells of Chinese Hamster ovaries." :-) Axl 21:49, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese Hamster History

[edit]

Hello all! It seems that much of the history on this page is actually the history of the Chinese Hamster in research, rather than the history of the CHO cell. Perhaps we could move the hamster stuff to Chinese hamster and start the history section of the CHO article with a short sentence like "the Chinese hamster had been used as a research animal since blah blah blah..." and then jump into the CHO cell stuff? Thoughts?Ajpolino (talk) 06:45, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
