– These titles could refer to country or the name such as Chad (name) and Jordan (name). There doesn't appear to be a primary topic here. Interstellarity (talk) 00:49, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Strong oppose and SNOWCLOSE - The countries are undoubtedly primary by long-term significance, at the very least. The hatnotes should resolve confusion. estar8806 (talk) 20:30, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The 5th lead paragraph states...

  • Chad ranks the 2nd lowest in the Human Development Index, with 0.394 in 2021 placed 190th...

...which is no longer true. Chad has moved up by one place while having the same score, according to the respective list. This would make them the fourth lowest nation out of 193. Also, the latest data is from 2022, not 2021.

Chad ranks the 2nd lowest in the Human Development Index, with 0.394 in 2021 placed 190th...
+
Chad ranks the 4th lowest in the Human Development Index, with 0.394 in 2022 placed 189th...

Flag unable to load

[edit]

I noticed that the flag of Chad no longer loads; instead I see the "broken image" icon (I'm using Chrome). Maybe a technical issue? Purplneon486 (talk) 10:57, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's a technical issue, it's not related to anything on this article. CMD (talk) 13:24, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnic data - Infobox

[edit]

The infobox at the right gives a very detailed breakdown of the different ethnicities in Chad. The source is given as (1): "Analyse Thematique des Resultats Definitifs Etat et Structures de la Population". Institut National de la Statistique, des Études Économiques et Démographiques du Tchad. Archived from the original on 28 December 2019. Retrieved 3 May 2020." Fortunately, the document is accessible. Unfortunately, it does not contain any data about any ethnicity in Chad (nor about languages, except for the two official ones, or any other similar data which could be used to build an ethnicity breakdown). So where do the ethnicity data in the infobox come from? There must be a good source for such detailed figures. The only places I have found the same figures in internet are highly suspicious of having them copied themselves from Wikipedia... Ilyacadiz (talk) 21:07, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

More fundamentally, The infobox at the right gives a very detailed breakdown of the different ethnicities in Chad is already a problem in my view. Considered country articles generally exclude this parameter whatsoever from the infobox. Remsense ‥  21:11, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
