Census Numbers Wrong?
[edit]I would like to know where the person who edited this page found his Census figures... It would seem that either I am reading the Census data from 2001 wrong, or the information provided on this page is wrong - or calculated as total as per population #'s rather than listing the data in the census verbatim.
English only 4,940 French Only 11,890 Bi-lingual or 'both' language. 23,715
So perhaps someone can explain the numbers, or correct them if they also believe that the numbers by way of the Census do not seem to match what is on the City's wiki page. Orasis 23:05, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Rename page
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Rename: Châteauguay, Quebec → Châteauguay Per WP:CANSTYLE and WP:PRIMARYUSAGE, this city should have an article at the undisambiguated name (see also WP:CANCITY). An internet search which excludes various combinations of this city's name still produces results exclusively related to it. Mindmatrix 15:16, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Support as nominator. Mindmatrix 15:16, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Support per CANSTYLE. -Royalguard11(T) 00:48, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Support, as per nom's search findings, naming convention and primary usage. Skeezix1000 (talk) 20:40, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

New MP for Chateauguay-Saint Constant
[edit]I don't know if it's too early, but we did get a new MP in Chateauguay, Sylvain Chicoine of the NDP. I don't want to change anything myself, but if anyone else wants to change that... Jdisnard (talk) 19:46, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
