The modern city of Giresun used to be called Kerasous (Latinized as Cerasus), and later Kerasounta. Geographically, Giresun is west of Trabzon (Trapezus), and it was renamed Pharnacia in the Hellenistic era. Was there a second Kerasous between Kerasous and Trapezus, or are we talking about the same city? Kravk (talk) 04:49, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
