Note

[edit]

It doesn't make sense to delete this particular episode and keep all the other episodes. If you want to keep all the episodes / no episodes / the top episodes, it's fine by me, but please be consistent.

Given that all the other episodes are still on wikipedia, why not just improve this one and move on? Sergio.correia (talk) 02:28, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering the same thing, looking at the history, some people have put the article back and some deleted it again. --Darthmortar (talk) 16:15, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Never know when you might need a tank" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.139.186.74 (talkcontribs)

I was about to say that!--Jwsmiths 21:19, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
yeah but does anyone (besides Johnston) know how to fire the main gun??? One tank can't be enough to stop an hostile invading force. I don't think it's going to be enough to stop Ravenwood as they might have Grenades or RPG's that could stop that thing cold. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ITDEFX (talkcontribs)
First, whether there are rounds for the gun or an ability to fire them is initially irrevelant. Someone shows up on your dor with armor and a heavy gun (especially when you don't expect it) will cause you to hesitate. Second, in a firefight, which one would you rather be riding in - an old, slow, 70's pickup truck or an Abrams tank? Third, it can't be THAT hard to figure out. There are, obviously, a few folks in town with some military experience and anyone who is somewhat mechanical/intuitive should be able to figure out how these things work. Another interesting point, though, what if the folks behind the scene in New bern are Ravenwood. They'd be on the lookout for an "Eric Green" wouldn't they? 209.37.141.254 21:01, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good Points here. However if Ravenwood is in the other town, they would use tactics to disable/take out that tank asap before anyone gets a chance to fire. With that disable, everyone else is easy pickings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ITDEFX (talkcontribs)

I agree...if they were EXPECTING A TANK. I mean, who'd be EXPECTING a tank in a hick farming town? No one ever expects a TANK (just as no one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition.) 74.139.186.74 01:15, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It wouldn't make sense for them to use the tank. It be for intimidation, like what the "Marines" used it for. If a gun battle did start the safest place would be outside and behind the tank, using it as cover. Since Ravenwood is down to like 8-10 people, about the size of two squads, so if they were to go up against a tank and armed infantry...it would be a tough fight. Hawkins' nuke might be useful. 84.10.242.129 21:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, what did you say??!?!?!? Hawking's Nuke might be useful?!?!?! Yea if he wanted to blow himself and anyone within several miles away. Actually what I was thinking is that Hawkings could have used his sats try to find Eric in New Bern and to see what they are up to. I think the reason why Hawkings' didn't tell Jake about his internet connection and sat usage is because it's still his ace in the hole. Best to keep that a secret for as long as possible.

As for the tank, I don't think it be used for the next episode. I don't think with the surprise attack coming to Jericho that they will have time to deploy it. Hawkings doesn't have time to warn Jericho. He's got to get Eric and Jake out before they are shot or hanged. Unless Hawkings considers them expendable. He doesn't need them. He could let them die and it wouldn't stop him from completing his goal, which is to get to the boss of the bombings. ITDEFX 03:10, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

you know I almost forgotten. Roger may not have made it to New Bern. There seems to be no trace of him anywhere. ITDEFX 14:44, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jake already knows about the Sat Dish and his internet access. Remember the episode about the surge when Jake saw Hawkins using his laptop next to the sat dish outside?74.69.159.42 19:35, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which was also right before the EMP took out all the electronics. Jake was pretty far away to determine if the laptop was hardened or not. 68.54.240.28 00:53, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it was Roger who said garbage about Jericho to the people of New Bern as an act of spiteful revenge? 74.69.159.42 05:53, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
