Getting the Stub-Class Tag Removed from this Article

[edit]

I have never done this before, and I don't know how to go about getting the Stub-Class Article tag removed from this article now that it is, IMHO, no longer stub-class. I am going to research this, but if anyone knows what I need to do and reads this before I have time to figure it out on my own, I would really appreciate some help. Thanks!!! Xela Yrag (talk) 05:08, 22 March 2009 (UTC) I think I figured it out. Xela Yrag (talk) 04:25, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

I have re-assessed this article as Start class. There are a few minor issues that need to be worked on...

  • The lead paragraph could use some work (birthdate, short summary), and the rest of that first section should be split off into "Early life" or some other separate section. See WP:LEAD for more info.
  • The refs could be cleaned up, several refs are duplicated, use ref names to shorten the list. See WP:REFNAME for more info.
  • An infobox and image would be nice. See {{Infobox Author}} for more info.
  • I don't think we need a complete list of every book written, maybe just the more notable or popular. (this part is optional, just my personal opinion that the list is too large for how short the rest of the article is)

Feel free to leave me a message if you need any help with these issues... - Adolphus79 (talk) 22:30, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to write similar things. When I got started I looked at the structure of a better developed article and adapted as I saw fit. The sources need to be improved, her own website and her publisher should be avoided. Try to search for the information on google and if you find it in reliable sources (you can specifiy Google to search just in, say, nytimes.com etc.), replace it. Lists should be handled differently, for more info see WP:LIST. Hekerui (talk) 22:39, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for re-assessing the article. I am trying to get clarification on the copyright status of a picture that I found. I emailed Mrs. Hart, and she responded favorably to the picture being used; however, she needed to contact the probably copyright holder to see if it could be released for use. I am hoping that she will supply a suitable, free-use picture if that one is not available. I will look into the lists. I have been unable to find a birthdate anywhere. I will also work on my sources. 75.111.205.4 (talk) 20:21, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
