[Unclear Wording]
[edit]I have no idea what this sentence is trying to say. "Within the Socratic dialogue carnival affects all people into the behavior and rituals in to the carnivalistic life, as in every individual is affected by carnival, meaning everyone is a constant participant of carnival."Sparbtastic (talk) 23:00, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

- Can you find sources that address that issue? It is not up to you to formulate the argument.Parkwells (talk) 15:47, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be great if the author of the article specifies the reference for "...although Terry Eagleton points out this would probably be[...]?" Regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by Prophetoffrivolity (talk • contribs) 05:19, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
Improving this article
[edit]This article needs some significant work to even approach usefulness. I'm a little concerned that the original text is either all copyvio or someone's essay written for some class. The weak articles in the French and Russian Wikipedias are weak in different ways, and I think that combining aspects of each of the three will yield a decent article here in the English Wikipedia. In the end, this is a pretty tough concept, but it would indeed be wonderful to develop a good treatment of it here. Avram (talk) 03:08, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Agree that it sounds very much as if it is taken from a text - the wording is too analytical and filled with particular phrasing that is not typical of these articles.Parkwells (talk) 15:48, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
