"of South Sudanese descent"

I know that several sources have mentioned this in passing, but I'm skeptical. There are earlier, more substantial sources about his early life (eg, [1]) that don't mention that at all. The Louisville media guide had lots of personal details, including his parents' names, but said nothing about this. Zagalejo (talk) 14:42, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Basic information to add to this article: information about Jones's family background and ethnic heritage, as well as exactly why Jones decided to be naturalized to play for the South Sudan national team. Also, is he a dual citizen (maintaining his U.S. citizenship), and does he live in the nation of South Sudan?
