Alumni List

[edit]

This page has been a target of vandalism by someone continuing to add a "Mike Moyer" to the list, with different reasons listed after it. If this continues I will nominate that the IP user in question be blocked from continued edits. Furthermore those Alumni without a Wikipedia article, I have placed Fact Tags to substantiate their reason for meeting the WP:N Guideline. If no citations are provided, these names will be removed.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 08:18, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"Mike Moyer" was added yet again, from a different IP address than before. Editors please take note of this.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 12:45, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Geographical Isolation

[edit]

It should be noted, that CHS is within the city of San Bruno, but is almost completely surrounded by the City Limits of Millbrae on all but its North entry by the softball/baseball field. Article Issues

[edit]

I have recently added the article issues template to the top of this article for the following reasons:

  • refimprove - Not counting the references that are not from reliable sources that can be verified the total number of sources is only two, and both verify demographics
  • primarysources - multiple references have been tagged for verification as they appear to be entered by a first or second party editor and thus a third party source is needed to validate information provided
  • expand - For an article about an educational institution that is almost 60 years old there is very little information about it, which leads to the next issue
  • unbalanced - the majority of information about this article both in the history and notable people section are regarding people and events during the late 1950s to mid 1960s. Additional information is needed to provide background as to the reason for establishing a new high school, and years past 1965 to the present
  • histinfo - see previous comments regarding expand and unbalanced

There is clearly a need for verification of some of the information included in this article. At present, most of the information has been supplied by Capuchino alumni (including myself) and from Capuchino yearbooks. The San Bruno Herald formerly covered much of what happened at Capuchino, especially its athletics and fine arts, but the publication ceased early in this century. It's possible there may be microfilmed copies of the Herald in the San Bruno public library. Help in supplying verification from those still living in the San Bruno-Millbrae area would be appreciated. Sallyrob (talk) 17:00, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:RSN#School publications, yearbooks are not considered reliable sources. Eyewitness accounts and interviews, not documented by a reliable source, would fall under WP:Original research. I have tagged these references accordingly, but have not removed the content hoping that other references can be provided to support the content. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 08:37, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

When did they change the logo, I graduated in '99 and remember them having this logo. If we can find the old logo that is available through Creative Commons or Public Domain, perhaps we can add it to the article.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 20:48, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Here, and here, are another examples of the logo which I am more familiar with, and this is something similar to what I remember on the graduation programs.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 22:20, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea when the logo changed, but the logo I added to the article (http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/File:Capuchino_High_School_logo.png) is currently used in the school's website (http://chs.schoolloop.com/) and also graces the cover of the 2012-13 Student Handbook (http://chs.schoolloop.com/file/1093916293341/1278766492236/1469439995524242593.pdf).Contributor321 (talk) 16:37, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Is that image in the public domain?
Also, here is a better version of one of those logos as used in the "official" athletics website.
So which one is more official?--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 20:26, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we can add these older logos to the page under fair use?--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 20:32, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
