It is stated in the article that Berlin became capital of Prussia in 1518 – could you provide evidence for this? I believe that the capital of Prussia was Königsberg until 1701, when Prussia became a kingdom with the capital in Berlin. I think Berlin would have been the capital of Brandenburg in 1518. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.199.151.78 (talk) 04:21, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
Requested merge 5 February 2024
[edit]I propose merging Capital of Germany into History of Berlin. I think the content in Capital of Germany can easily be explained in the context of History of Berlin, and a merge would not cause any article-size or weighting problems in History of Berlin. Plus, they both address one topic: Berlin. 🅲🅻🅴🆃🅴🆁 (a word) 02:25, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose: This won't work. We have Bonn as the temporary capital of West Germany during the Cold War. -Silence of Lambs (talk) 00:57, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
