History
[edit]— Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.242.26.146 (talk) 07:46, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
The first sentence reads as follows;
- The network, in large part a result of Ted Turner's Globalization ideals, CNN International was launched first edition began transmissions in 1 January 1984 at first primarily broadcasting to American business travelers in hotels.
which is poorly written and does not read well. I will replace it soon with the following;
- CNN International, in large part a result of Ted Turner's Globalization ideals, began transmissions in 1 January 1984 at first primarily broadcasting to American business travelers in hotels. Buster Seven Talk 00:49, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Over 200 countries?!
[edit]CNN International is available in most countries, its international reach includes more than 200 million households, and hotel rooms in over 200 countries
How come when there are only 193 countries?! List of sovereign states — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moe33 (talk • contribs) 21:47, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
- Someone should kick in and do a check in this article , as soon as possible . Letting a serious fault survive here is very dangerous. TPNamE231 (talk) 14:04, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
Well there are 193 countries that are full UN members, plus 2 states with observer status (Holy See, Palestine) and 11 non member states, for a total of 206. However 9 of these 11 states have only partial recognition and may not meet the definition of "country". At best there are 193+1+4=198 countries (the last 4 would be Cook Islands, Niue, Kosovo, Taiwan). I think the "200 countries" should be removed from the article. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states Gentleman wiki (talk) 22:57, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
Tables?
[edit]Why is there a picture of tables in the Criticism section? --172.72.47.40 (talk) 14:48, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Please read the caption of the image.TPNamE231 (talk) 15:20, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- I did. I ask again. Why is there a picture of tables in the Criticism section? There's nothing in that section related to the tables. In addition there's nothing in the caption related to it being a criticism of the company. It just says that they were removed. --172.72.47.40 (talk) 13:01, 16 July 2016 (UTC)

Clearly this picture should be removed. Gentleman wiki (talk) 20:15, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

- Yeah, that's a good point - not sure why it was in that section. I've moved it to a separate sub-section called "Other dismissals" for now as it didn't seem to fit into any of the other sub-sections there. – numbermaniac 12:29, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
