@ S0091 I saw your message at ForsythiaJo talk page and was curious and came to look at the draft. While I agree that the coverage here is predominantly local media, I think the WP:SUSTAINED aspect of the coverage and number of sources provides some credibility to passing WP:GNG and WP:NEVENT. Further in looking at google books, there are a considerable number of published travel guides on the state of Massachusettes which have entries on this event; dating from current all the way back into the 1990s. I would think that given the number of published books with coverage at the state level, it would pass WP:NEVENT. Certainly Wikipedia:WikiProject Massachusetts and Wikipedia:WikiProject Travel and Tourism would likely consider this an encyclopedic topic.4meter4 (talk) 03:53, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @4meter4 yes, I think the travel guides are helpful and I also took a look a Newspapers.com and I see there was an AP piece in 2013 that mentions it, which received national coverage (there may be more). There was no doubt about WP:SUSTAINED, my concern was WP:GEOSCOPE and WP:ROUTINE but I think between all these, including the other "top" lists it made, it passes. You or @ForsythiaJo are welcome to move it article space (even if a draft is declined, there is no obligation to resubmit through AfC) or if more comfortable, can resubmit and I will accept it.
