Brian Kelly (Canadian football) → Brian Kelly (wide receiver) – WP:NCSP Relisted. Joeykai (talk) 04:08, 18 March 2015 (UTC)--Relisted. — Amakuru (talk) 11:06, 24 February 2015 (UTC) Joeykai (talk) 20:11, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]- Neutral. I would support to distinguish from Brian Kelly (cornerback), but oppose since Brian Kelly (cornerback) played in American football, not Canadian football, and WP:NCSP doesn't address this issue. Steel1943 (talk) 01:59, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose "cornerback" is too specific. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:58, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- NCSP says the article title should be the current one, so the request doesn't have a valid rationale. DrKiernan (talk) 12:38, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- "In situations where there are two or more people who played gridiron football but they played different positions, use the name of the position they played. Example: James Harris (defensive end) and James Harris (quarterback)"Joeykai (talk) 14:13, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'm going off point #1 rather than #2, "If he played only one [professional] code of gridiron football, such as American football or Canadian football, use the name of that code." I assume we apply #1 before #2. DrKiernan (talk) 15:14, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- 1 only applies when there is only one person who played gridiron football. There are two or more people named Brian Kelly who played gridiron football so #2 applies.Joeykai (talk) 19:21, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- In that case, I support since the player is American and played in the college leagues, Canadian might be miscontrued. DrKiernan (talk) 19:42, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

- Support per DrKiernan. — Amakuru (talk) 22:22, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support. This player played both American and Canadian football at noteworthy levels, and he is also American like the cornerback. This seems necessary to distinguish him, especially considering the soccer players.--Cúchullain t/c 16:40, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support. This is the normal disambiguation used for gridiron players. Also, you don't have to make a move request for this, when there are two players who have played gridiron football, then it disambiguates by position. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 22:15, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support Best way to distinguish the players.--Yankees10 23:44, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
