Fair use rationale for Image:Postcardbandit.jpg
[edit]Image:Postcardbandit.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:08, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
He goes from being a ward of the state accused of no crimes, to escaping prison (why was he in there? Did he work at a prison?) in the very next sentence.
[edit]How did he escape jail twice when he was never arrested? The article mentions his jail escapes without explaining how or why he was in jail? Same with prison escapes.
I vote we delete this article, we obviously know nothing about this guy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.117.205.171 (talk) 22:59, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Just some observations here, ..
[edit]that the tone currently reads to be somewhat riding his cock, insofar as laying out excuses and minimisations for his crimes and escapes as well as the focus upon bewailing his management as a prisoner at the expense of supplying detail about the robberies he 'masterminded' as well as his role in them. What did he rob, when and how, for how much money, and with whom as accomplices?: these are the questions i'm still left with. Also, how did they manage to recapture him, when can he make parole application and what would be his earliest possible release date? But regardless, still some interesting information here that I wasn't previously aware of. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BetterThanSuchAsYou (talk • contribs) 04:30, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

Update tag addition
[edit]Brenden Abbott has been in the news recently, including today, and I looked at this article to find out exactly why he was in gaol. However, the article doesn't explain this. It mentions an armed robbery is SA but not the crimes in WA and QLD. There has been a single edit in reference to his recent release and extradition to WA that needs cleanup,[1] but the rest of the article says he is still in a QLD gaol. This edit made Abbott's birthdate in the prose inconsistent with the infobox and so on. This article really needs updating but I don't know enough about the subject to do so myself, so I have tagged the article as needing update. Perhaps somebody from WA, QLD or SA can have a look. --AussieLegend (✉) 05:30, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
