An interesting fact about Brandin Podziemski is that he was named 2023 WCC Co-Player of the Year while playing for Santa Clara University. This is the same school that produced NBA star Steve Nash, making Podziemski one of the few Santa Clara players to gain significant national attention since Nash.
Before transferring to Santa Clara, Podziemski originally played for the University of Illinois, where he had limited playing time.
