Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd?

[edit]

In the box on the right it says: Created by Bugs Bunny & Elmer Fudd, which in turn links to their respective pages. Is someone playing a prank or is this accurate data?

Axed?

[edit]

That's sad, now the only Melbourne drama series is Neighbours. Damnit.. television has changed.. it's like they don't even care anymore so they just save time and money and import top rating US shows.--Jamesbehave 11:50, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep! If you want to be really technical about it there are none left because Neighbours is classed as a soap, I can tell you there are some very angry Blue Heelers Fans 220.240.60.206

Blue Heelers Spoilers

[edit]

Just wondering, under the spoiler section for Season 13, there was a comment about Susie and Jonesy. I was jsut wondering where this source found that out from, as I am a MASSIVE S/J shipper, and naturally was stoked by the news. Is there any more detail available for us?

D Susie :D

Main cast

[edit]

Note to contributors:

The "main cast" section is clarified as people who have been in the opening credits.

Other guest stars or recurring guest stars, even semi-regular ones like Inspector Falcon-Price, go in individual season sections.

Please leave Geoff Morrell in the cast list and Karen Davitt out of it. Daydream believer2 07:16, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondering, who added Daniel Williams as Detective Constable Dean Tyler to the main cast list? I don't seem to recall any character by that name on Blue Heelers at any time throughout the whole series let alone from 2005-2006. And where did Matthew Holmes go? 124.184.125.224 07:41, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edits

[edit]

Hey all, I removed the "post-Blue Heelers careers" section. I figured in the end - even though I was actually the person who added it all those years ago - that this section just makes the page unnecessarily long, and will constantly be out-of-date anyway. And truthfully this information belongs on individual cast members' pages. While some shows have notable reasons for having a section like this, say the "curse" of Seinfeld stars, or the notable absence of Twin Peaks stars from the airwaves after that show, then so be it. But the stars of Blue Heelers have ranged from household names to disappearing immediately after the show, so no interest. Daydream believer2 03:53, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i wish they had a section about the characters, eg- there names in blue so there would be a page on them. if anyone knows how to do it please tell me. because i would love to do it.

List of characters

[edit]

I notice some of the character names have been recently linked. I thought that to prevent numerous sub-stubs being created, if they characters are to be expanded on, they should:

  • Start in a 'Characters' section of this article
  • Following by all of them moving to a "Characters of Blue Heelers" article if that gets too long
  • Followed by creation of individual character articles if that article gets too long

What do people think of this? -- Chuq (talk) 08:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

[edit]

How about something that directs people looking for the dog breed over to the article on Aussie Cattle Dogs? Just a thought for us non-ozzies who've never heard of the TV show. (Or who don't have TVs, for that matter.)  ;-)

-- Flagstonia 05:23, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A notice at the top the page should suffice. It is very notable in Australia and various European countries. - Mike Beckham 09:45, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bh newDVD.jpg

[edit]

Image:Bh newDVD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merger proposal for individual recurring character pages

The result was merge into List of recurring Blue Heelers characters. -- Daniel99091 (talk) 04:37, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be a good idea if we moved all the individual pages for each recurring character to a new page: List of recurring Blue Heelers characters.

My idea is that this page could list each recurring/semi-regular character of Blue Heelers and have details about them. A single page would be suitable for this because minor characters do not require in depth discussion or long articles. The current individual pages do not have much content in them and some have been deleted because the characters are not notable enough.

I do believe however, that we should keep the individual pages for each main character as some of their articles are quite detailed and in depth. They are definitely notable enough to warrant them having their own page.

Anybody have any comments or a better idea ???

Daniel99091 07:20, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm all for it. The current articles as they are have no content whatsoever and the characters themselves are not notable enough to have there own article. My vote is MERGE.

Just the recurring characters because i noticed theres a few characters with little information that could of merged into one big page, eg: list of blue heelers characters. Peachey88 (Talk Page | Contribs) 00:18, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Heelers split proposal

[edit]
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.

The result was to split Blue Heelers#Season synopses, List of Blue Heelers episodes and Blue Heelers DVD Releases into individual season articles titled Blue Heelers (season 1), Blue Heelers (season 2), etc. in accordance with this discussion and the discussion at WP Television. Daniel99091 (talk) 01:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that the main Blue Heelers article is made unnecessarily long with the individual season synopsis. The List of Blue Heelers episodes is also too long, it is over 100KB and has had a {{longish}} template placed on it by User:Ultraexactzz who says it is the 66th longest article in the English Wikipedia!

User:Ultraexactzz has suggested splitting the List of Blue Heelers episodes into two different articles: List of Blue Heelers episodes (1994-2000) and List of Blue Heelers episodes (2000-2006).

Another alternative would be to split the Blue Heelers articles up into individual season articles, like shows such as The Simpsons (see The Simpsons (season 1). In these individual articles we could include the season synopsis, the episode list, specific ratings and response data for that season and maybe even a DVD table from Blue Heelers DVD Releases. This, as well as solving the episode list problem, would shorten this main article.

A sample of a page I think may be suitable is located at User:Daniel99091/Page 1. Feel free to make any changes or comments. —Preceding comment was added at 07:35, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions???

Daniel99091 (talk) 02:20, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe We could something like the Veronica Mars, and have the main/important characters on the article and then move the others to a separate article (EG: Characters of Veronica Mars) and moving the season synopsis section to a separate article, and i would also support splitting the episode page up. Peachey88 (Talk Page | Contribs) 06:57, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think seprating them into sesons is a good idea the article is heeps to long124.176.95.174 (talk) 09:23, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DVD release table

[edit]

Might I suggest the table that was in the DVD releases section be restored? It detailed which of the sets were out.
