Neutrality compromised

[edit]

I wonder why every great saint is faced with the problem of their followers claiming that they are indisputably an incarnation of God, although the saint himself never made such claims during his life-time. This is a great disservice to the saint himself, as it compromises the neutrality of the article and makes it difficult for people outside the sect to relate to their Guru. In this article, Bijoy Krishna Goswami and his wife, Yogamaya are stated to be incarnations of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Vishnupriya. These statements may reflect the faith of the writer of the article, but are an obstacle for those who want an unbiased summary of the saint's life. I am a great admirer of Bijoy Krishna Goswami, but for me, the status of the Guru or saint is higher than God (as it is stated in the Ramayana and Srimad Bhagavatam.) I don't need him to be God. I think that the sentences should be changed to say that Bijay Krishna Goswami and his wife ARE REGARDED BY THEIR FOLLOWERS TO BE . . . This would reflect the real situation more accurately and make the article more acceptable to people like me who just want unbiased information about the saint. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gauri108 (talkcontribs) 04:48, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
