'Repealed' wording okay for IPC?
[edit]this edit by @Sree1959 seem to introduce wording repealed for IPC. From this news IPC is likely to remain in force on old cases.
- .. that has repealed the 164-year-old British era Indian Penal Code (IPC)..
- .. Twenty new offences have been added to the BNS. Nineteen provisions in the repealed IPC have also been dropped. ..
This reference used by User:Sree1959 seem to use wording replaced not repealed. IMO some one who knows nuances need to look into the same. Bookku (talk) 16:43, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- "Replace" is the correct term since pending cases will still be tried under IPC. — hako9 (talk) 15:55, 21 June 2024 (UTC)

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita → Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 – As per the earlier request, now that the bill is passed and the Act is live. - http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Bharatiya_Nyaya_Sanhita,_2023&oldid=1189635548 Thewikizoomer (talk) 06:39, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose: Just as its predecessor is without a year, this should be too. Arnav Bhate (talk) 14:38, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- Acts are supposed be read with year Thewikizoomer (talk) 07:34, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
