I've been trying to learn about Indian music and namely ragas lately, and I was told that this raga is both well-known and a good example of this genre. Sadly the entire "Theory" section does not explain much to a non-indian person like me. I was told that a raga has a sort of base melody, that the musician is refering to or improvising over. It would be very helpful to see this melody written in "western style" notation. Is this possible? It would seem like a logic and helpful improvement. This article links to other articles which also seem to be difficult to understand for a non-Indian person. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joachim Michaelis (talkcontribs) 21:30, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
