Notability
[edit]Decidely non-notable in her sport she satisfies:
- Persons achieving renown or notoriety for their involvement in newsworthy events
as a result of her eccentric dress sense. TerriersFan 22:05, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well, she's made the 2nd round at the 2007 us open, I'd say that's pretty notable, irregardless of her fashion sense. dm 05:36, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Tone tag
[edit]"fighting fashionista"? "dazzled the crowd in an all black ensemble"? "wore a one strapped, jeweled top which resembled a warrior Queen"? "keeping true to her fashionista persona and wore a lovely one long sleeved top"?
Also, when she put on outfits, she "donned" them, she didn't "dawn" them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.38.100.250 (talk) 10:51, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Steroid use
[edit]Bethanie Mattek-Sands was involved in the controversial use of steroids -- "controversial" in the sense that the International Tennis Federation granted her the approval for using hydrocortisone and DHEA prescribed by a doctor, but the World Anti-Doping Agency revoked it. The drugs were prescribed by Dr. Eric Serrano, who has publicly described how he prescribes drugs for athletes. I think this is notable because (1) Under WP:WEIGHT, it was reported by many WP:RS and (2) It illustrates the controversies over using steroid drugs that are prescribed by doctors for what they say are legitimate medical purposes, but which have anabolic side effects.
