Notability tag

I'm struggling to see how this warrants a notability tag. The article is referenced to two obituaries in national British newspapers: The Times and The Guardian, which I suggest amounts to significant enough coverage in RSes to make Pockney notable enough for an article. I also note that he held a full professorship at a British university, which means that he meets criteria 5 in WP:NACADEMIC.
