- that Bernard Fils-Aimé became the CEO of cell carrier Comcel Haiti after retiring from Miami-Dade Community College? Source: [1]
- ALT1:that Bernard Fils-Aimé, the CEO of cell carrier Comcel Haiti, was mistaken for Reggie Fils-Aimé by the Miami Herald? Source: Incorrect photo: [2], Corrected with editor's note: [3]

- This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Either hook could be used but I prefer ALT1. No QPQ needed here. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:51, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote ALT1, but it is unclear how footnote 18 is a reliable source for the hook fact. Who says it's the wrong photo? Yoninah (talk) 20:11, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @Yoninah:, the article was republished with an editor's note about the mix-up (footnote 17): [4] Sorry for not including earlier in the nom. Joofjoof (talk) 23:18, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Joofjoof: please add it to the fact in the article, not here. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 23:23, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Ref titles
[edit]"Clipped from the Miami Herald" is not the correct title for each of these references, using that encourages linkrot. Please use the actual article titles in the title

Did you know?
[edit]@Yoninah, Joofjoof, Cwmhiraeth. I’m sorry, are we really going with that lame DYK?? I think launched Haiti’s first cellular network is far more adequate. Ask a random person on the street who Reggie Fils-Aimé is and I DOUBT they would know and how this trivial DYK would have any value to the common reader whatsoever. This is the last thing that I thought I’d read here. It’s a quirky find but in no way useful; a lazy entry in my opinion. Sorry. Savvyjack23 (talk) 21:02, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
—-Great article so far though Joofjoof . Savvyjack23 (talk) 21:04, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- On the other hand, it seems like such a rare find that it would be fitting for a DYK. I take back calling the entry lazy. Savvyjack23 (talk) 21:18, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Savvyjack23: it's a little late to say anything now, as the hook ran on October 9. But it very nearly cleared our 5,000 top hits list. Yoninah (talk) 21:25, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Savvyjack23, I'm glad you liked the article. I found that other companies besides Comcel Haiti (founded 1998) also claim to be the first: Haitel was founded in 1998 [5], and state-run Teleco began offering service in 1998 [6]. Joofjoof (talk) 04:38, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
