– This nomination is related to Benny Friedman → Benny Friedman (football) at Talk:Benny Friedman#Requested move 4 January 2025. The academic's pen name is indeed Benjamin M. Friedman, but his WP:COMMONNAME is simply Benjamin Friedman, per his Harvard faculty page. As for the disambiguation page, since there are two men named "Benny" — player and coach Benny Friedman as well as Benzion Hakohen Friedman, stage name Benny Friedman (singer) — and only one man named "Benjamin", the dab page should be at "Benny" (a similar WP:DABCOMBINE occurs at dab pages that list men named "Stephen", "Steven" and "Steve" — since "Steve" may apply to "Stephen" or "Steven", the main title headers of such dab pages are usually at "Steve"). If the other RM is successful, the proposed dab page header Benny Friedman (disambiguation) can become simply Benny Friedman. — Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:39, 11 January 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose. The disambuation page is best kept at the full name. Move Benjamin M. Friedman to Benjamin Friedman (economist). -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:57, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per Necro. Plus it appears the current title is what he is known professionally as, and provides convenient natural disambiguation. TiggerJay (talk) 05:43, 18 January 2025 (UTC)
- Also to clarify that his professional known as, is further supported by the use of his middle initial is used on his books and other publications. TiggerJay (talk) 18:06, 18 January 2025 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: No consensus yet. cyberdog958Talk 07:34, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support move to Benjamin Friedman (economist) per above.--Ortizesp (talk) 15:17, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
