The old horse on the farm which is very strong could read the letters A,b,C, and D. Was loyal to Napoleon until the end when Napoleon sells him to the Knackers. His mottos where "I will work harder" and "Napoleon is always right." PatGallacher (talk)

His reading capabilities were better than most

[edit]

Wouldn't he be exercising his reading capabilities when Alfred Simmonds had taken Boxer away to his death? He read it much faster than Muriel and that was before the seven Commandments were turned into one. No you twit only a five year-old would come up with that Muriel who can read quite well yells it to him he didn't read it everybodies an idiot.

This article is about Benjamin. Those who have claimed he can't read are talking about Boxer. Benjamin can "read as well as any pig", but generally chooses not to help the other animals read until the end when Boxer is being trucked away. Muriel tries to read it but is too slow, and Benjamin pushes her aside and reads it aloud to the other animals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.12.85.61 (talk) 07:56, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
