no need to merge two as there is much difference between two articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.153.47.93 (talk) 04:01, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now added the about template to avoid this confusion. Thanks! --Ekabhishektalk 08:44, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is a bad idea, but right now I do not know what to do about it. The article about ancient Kashi has a lot of content but I think all of it is totally bogus and ought to be deleted. I have not had time to find a good source about ancient Kashi, but its existence is documented in as much literature as the existence of ancient Greece is in Western literature. Merging the articles here would be like merging Ancient Greece with [[Greece]. It makes no sense.
It seems like no one is interested in doing the actual merge. I will get to this when I can in about two months or whenever someone else also commits to working on it. If the articles do get merged, then I feel nothing is really lost because like I said the article on ancient Kashi is garbage and actually the one on modern Kashi is not good either. In a brilliant move, Gryffindor moved Kingdom of Kashi to Benares State.
