Belfield Bridge

[edit]

There's a suitable free-to-use image of the bridge here, should the article expand enough to allow for additional images. --Jza84 |  Talk  23:53, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And another here. :) --Jza84 |  Talk  23:57, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History of Belfield

[edit]

There's loads about the locality here. I might even add some of this myself. :-) --Jza84 |  Talk  00:42, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retail park

[edit]

Hi! May I say good work on this article. Quick question, is Kingsway Retail Park part of Belfield and, along with it, is the new business park also part of that locality? Both are worth referencing in the article if they are. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 21:38, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! I was thinking the same actually! I wasn't sure if "Kingsway" referred to the major road with that name, or an actual area of Rochdale. I pretty sure the retail park is part of Belfield (it being opposite the parish church!), so that's probably worth a mention at very least. :-) --Jza84 |  Talk  21:42, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To my knowledge both Kingsway and Queensway [1] (which meets it at Oldham Road) are both simply major roads in Rochdale. They form a sort of semi-circle of a would-be ring road. I don't think they were ever used to define an area or locality. Of course I may be wrong. I need a history textbook on Rochdale to be sure. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 21:59, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're spot on actually! - the Ordnance Survey doesn't record Kingsway (or Queensway) as an area of Rochdale. The retail park seems to be between Belfield and Newbold. :-) --Jza84 |  Talk  22:04, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And there's a picture of it with the church here. --Jza84 |  Talk  16:41, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
