Took Down the sentence that says "When the night feels my song" sounds like "pressure drop" by toots and the maytals. They are similar in ways, but this is an opinion, not a fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.219.124.65 (talk) 13:13, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of band members

[edit]

I'm proposing the pages for band members Jay Malinowski and Eon Sinclair be merged here. They don't have any notability outside the band and the pages are long-term unsourced. None of the press coverage seems to be outside their roles in this band. Fences&Windows 22:17, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bad idea. Jay Malinowski just released a solo album and is touring Canada. Since his artistic career as a painter is also distinct, it makes sense to have a page specifically devoted to him. For further media coverage: http://www.cbc.ca/q/pastepisodes.html interview 2010-03-03.Tetsuo (talk) 18:29, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. What makes Eon notable then? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.241.118.40 (talk) 19:54, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Eon article has nothing more to say other than what's related to the band, and is poorly sourced to boot. I say merge what can be sourced, and take out anything else. Downtoearthtim (talk) 13:36, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the article on Jay has valid information, enough so to make a proper page, but Eon's is terrible, and mightily insignificant, waste of a page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bringonthepanic (talkcontribs) 22:34, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Let's wake this thread back up - The Eon Sinclair article has been tagged for a proposed merge since December 2009, so yes or no, are we going to do this? It's a poorly referenced BLP-stub of a subject who appears to have absolutely no (independent) notability outside of a single band. That in itself fails WP:MUSICBIO, and Eon Sinclair would probably have been deleted or redirected by now if it wasn't for the existence of this article and the merge tag on the other. I say - Merge - soon would be good. :)  -- WikHead (talk) 02:11, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Followup - Alright, a whole week has passed without any response or additional comments here, or from the proposer's talk page where I had also left a message. My plan is to return after 24 hours and redirect the Eon Sinclair article to this one, if no one has spoken up by that time. Any additional comments or narrative followup regarding this thread will be posted at Talk:Eon Sinclair, as I'm no longer watching this talk page.  -- WikHead (talk) 21:15, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
