Hernon

[edit]

Hernon is a UK lobby correspondent who has compiled various narratives into three books, published as a compilation titled Britain's Forgotten Wars. I'm guessing this is from Blood in the Sand. Amazon does allow limited searching of this book[1] and that shows 2 mentikons of Ramnagagar, but I'm not sure how that matches the citation. So, what we need at the very least is some quotes from the book making it clear who wrote them. But note that these are primary sources, and we normally want secondary sources for such material, see WP:WPNOTRS. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 15:27, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see what a book's web presence has to do with Wikipedia. It is a printed source, obtainable from a book store or library. However, I won't get into a sterile edit war. However, my major point is that you have deleted citations while leaving intact the facts they supported. Since the article is now in need of other cites to prop up the narrative, or the uncited facts should be trimmed leaving the article little more than a stub, I would argue that your action has not improved the article; indeed, the opposite. What do you propose to do to restore it? HLGallon (talk) 00:27, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't addressed anything I wrote. If in fact you can't find clearly reliable sources then maybe it should be removed. Your call. Dougweller (talk) 10:17, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
