former island
[edit]This island does not seem to exist any more. It is not visible in current satellite imagery (e.g. Google Earth). It does not show on the relevant USGS topographic map (Wellsville, Ohio quad) as of 1994. It does show on the Wellsville quad as of 1960. I surmise that it was removed as a hazard to navigation, but I haven't been able to find any web pages or news articles confirming this. —Steve Summit (talk) 14:38, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- This article has been unsourced since 2005. We need something that at least says it used to exist. 331dot (talk) 15:57, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
