Prohibition in England
[edit]The article says "In England, the founding of the College of Arms was accompanied by a prohibition on the use of assumed arms." What is the nature of the prohibition? Is it a criminal offence to use assumed arms, and if so is someone guilty of this offence actually likely to be prosecuted? Is a distinction made between someone assuming made up arms they haven't been granted, versus using arms granted to someone else? Beorhtwulf (talk) 19:46, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
