This one's been unreviewed for awhile. I'll give it a look. Hog Farm Bacon 17:13, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's very good of you. Many thanks, Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:59, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • The One Ring is duplinked in the background
Fixed.
  • I'm thinking that a statement that Arnor was in the north and Gondor was in the south, and were a bit geographically separated would be nice to have at the beginning of the article, just to provide some context.
Done.
  • Optional Maybe in early life a brief statement that there's a large gap of time between Isildur and Aragorn? "and the Ring was seemingly lost for ever" could signify this I guess, so if you think that's sufficient, it's fine by me.
Said "distant ancestors".
  • Be consistent with River Anduin vs. river Anduin, personally, I think the first one is better
Done.
  • "He gave her an heirloom of his House, the Ring of Barahir" - It's already been established that the Ring of Barahir that is an heirloom of the Rangers of the North
Removed second gloss.
  • A bunch of things are overlinked. Occassional overlinks are one thing, but the One Ring get linked like every other paragraph, which is a touch excessive
Removed several.
  • "There, Frodo, healed by Elrond, volunteers to destroy the Ring in the fires of Mount Doom, and Aragorn is chosen as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring to accompany him, along with Gandalf, Legolas the elf, Gimli the dwarf, Boromir of Gondor, and the hobbits Pippin, Merry, and Frodo's faithful gardener Samwise Gamgee.[T 13] Elven-smiths reforge the shards of Narsil into a new sword, setting into the design of the blade seven stars (for Elendil) and a crescent moon (for Isildur), as well as many runes. Aragorn renames the sword Andúril, "Flame of the West".[T 14] - This section is in a different tense than the one before it and the one after it.
Fixed.
  • When you link to Fangorn Forest, the link Fangorn redirects to the top of Treebeard's page. I'd recommend using a piped link of Treebeard#Fangorn's Forest to bring the reader to the exact section
Fixed redirect.
  • Move the link of Minas Tirith up to the first mention, not one of the later ones
Fixed.
  • The Porck source is SPS, but is used appropriately and Porck looks like a decent scholar in medieval literature
Yes, it seems so.
  • Does Wood have an ISBN
Added.
  • Likewise, Sibley also seems to be a subject-matter expert
He certainly its.

Good work. That's it from me. Hog Farm Bacon 15:00, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
