Flakegate?

[edit]

The separate wiki page for Flakegate (the only thing that Anthea Turner is really known for in 2023) was deleted so it could be redirected to this page. Now there has been a removal of it entirely from this page - another PR job? I will have a look in the history.94.174.66.37 (talk) 20:06, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Misc

[edit]

I'd like to add the words "And if you want something to happen to you on this" so anyone who searches for the words from that video can find the info. Talk pages do get indexed by the SE spiders, right? Tzarius 01:08, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is it worth adding that on Perfect Housewife, she generally hands down advice to working mothers with at least 2 children, and Anthea Turner works perhaps one or two days a week and has no children? Bigpinkthing 16:07, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

on youtube u can watch a video where allegedly she is burned by motorcycle--85.180.58.234 17:46, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"From this point on Turner decided that she would concentrate her efforts on being a red engine. Frequent oil changes at this crucial stage helped turner into a lake." Is this some sort of joke? It makes no sense other than being a pun.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.193.37.159 (talk) 16:34, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Noticed that it was actually vandalism added by 194.63.116.72 and have reverted them while conserving the most recent edit by another user. 94.193.37.159 (talk) 16:48, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Even though this woman's PR company has been banned from editing the article, there is much polishing of this subject's tarnished image. Have reverted worst excesses. 81.158.112.66 (talk) 08:11, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quality

[edit]

It's difficult to know where to begin. This article is disjointed, ungrammatical, and essentially useless. Perhaps Anthea doesn't belong in Wikipedia if this is the best that can be done for her. Here's a suggestion: perhaps the ClueBot NG could write the article. It couldn't do worse than whoever is responsible for the current abortion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 154.5.40.122 (talk) 07:16, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with this - this article is the worst I've ever seen on wikpedia. Ditch it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.133.11.4 (talk) 13:38, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Me too. I have no interest in her but agree that this is the sort of article that gives Wikipedia a bad name Bashereyre (talk) 20:44, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Flake

[edit]

Why no reference to her infamous Flakegate affair? It is what she is most famous for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.169.114.19 (talk) 16:35, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

She is most famous for having been the second-highest paid female presenter in the UK and for presenting several very popular TV shows. Find a reliable source that says she organised and profited from the affair (which she has always denied) then you can add it. Until then, any mention of it in a derogatory way (including on this talk page) is a violation of WP:BLP. Lard Almighty (talk) 16:39, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What are you on about, you don't need a source that says she profited from the affair to document a large profile controversy.
I came here from http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/List_of_%22-gate%22_scandals_and_controversies
So I would recommend you amend that article to delete the link if you are insistent on that controversy not being mentioned here. 213.205.242.89 (talk) 22:36, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well spotted. I have deleted the reference in that list since it is no longer mentioned in the article.
The "controversy" was that she was paid to promote Flake as part of her wedding (ie that she profited - that is the allegation). She has denied this, and per WP:BLP, unless we can adequately source these allegations we can't include them. Lard Almighty (talk) 04:57, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
