"mnextment"

[edit]

It says "mnextment" -- I suppose it should say "movement"? Someone who knows about art could perhaps change this. Thank you.95.192.71.49 (talk) 13:17, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Content removal due to replacement of Template:Authority control

http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Andy_Warhol&diff=1003534810&oldid=1000703203 @Nikkimaria: what is the basis for this edit and related content removal? 78.54.89.82 (talk) 09:52, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An ISNI exists in Wikidata since 2013-04-05 http://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q5603&diff=20745168&oldid=18863599 - at time of the aforementioned edit the ISNI was not supressed, but 2021-02-18 User:Fram decided to do so [1]. 78.54.89.82 (talk) 10:05, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest centralizing your concern about ISNI at the template talk page. Nikkimaria (talk) 12:26, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Since there is no reply to the question from 09:52, 29 August 2022, I ask Nikkimaria to revert their edit. I is controversial. The person isn't even only categorized as an artist, but also contained in category:20th-century American male musicians. 77.183.31.210 (talk) 11:41, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, I think it would be more productive to pursue your concern at the template talk page. As for categorization, I don't think there's much argument to be made - Warhol is primarily known as an artist. Nikkimaria (talk) 12:06, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warhol used Amiga computers to generate digital art, including You Are the One, which he helped design and build with Amiga, Inc. He also helped with the demonstration of the release of the Amiga 1000. He displayed the difference between slow and fast fill and demonstrated Commodore's advanced color palette. This was done by presenting a live show of him creating a portrait of the lead singer of Blondie, Debby Harry. This style was similar to his silkscreen pop culture paintings. Warhol was also approached by the up-and-coming CEO of Apple computers, Steve Jobs, intending to try and have Warhol promote and produce his artistic work on the Macbook. However, at this time, Apple's drawing programs only came in greyscale, and Warhol enjoyed working with bright colors.[1] Breayancey (talk) 18:34, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Irltoad (talk) 20:57, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
