Permission

[edit]

This article states that it is taken from the AACU website and used with permission. I would just like to make sure this persmission is GFDL compatible. --Douglas Whitaker 20:39, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

I'm new at this, but this seems to violate the NPOV principle, as it appears to be a publicity piece taken from the organizations web site. Recommend cleanup rather than wikification.CAN 23:33, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it looks like some of the stuff is ok to have from the website (at least I would think.) If you take out the stuff that paints how great an organization they are, the rest looks pretty good. I will move the stuff here and if people want to dispute it, they can.

"is the leading national association" - Did not find any source listing this, figure if we take out the leading part, the rest is neutral.

"With a 90-year history and national stature, AAC&U is an influential catalyst for educational improvement and reform." - This does not appear very neutral to me.

"AAC&U has a long track record of working to cultivate and prepare the next generation of academic and faculty leaders." - Again not very neutral.

I think most of the things that dissatisfy NPOV have been removed. This article still reads like an advertisement or resume. Im deleting the NPOV tag and replacing it with a advert tag. ---BMW, Minor Copy-Edit 18:14, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A small, now-defunct academic journal that could be adequately covered in full at AACU's page. Does not need its own article per WP:PAGEDECIDE. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 17:18, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
