Notability
[edit]Notable for several reasons, see article in French Wikipedia. I am going to transfer content from there soon. I just created this as a start.--Newbiepedian 23:39, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- I have declined the speedy deletion for now, but please add more substantive content and appropriate references soon or the article may be deleted. Thanks, Steven Walling 23:50, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Accuracy
[edit]A knowledgable editor has finally discovered and fixed this article, thank goodness. Was the article's creation some kind of "breaching experiment"? I find it extraordinary that its creator claims to have seen and used the equivalent article on the French Wikipedia where the correct birth and death dates were given:
- 10 September 1803 – 11 April 1875
Yet they created this one with completely spurious year dates:
- 10 September 1876 - 11 April 1967
To avoid deletion, someone else had quickly pasted in a reference from the French Wikipedia published in 1881, thus providing a "reliable source" for an obvious untruth. The second editor didn't even notice that on the clearly stated date of the source's publication Royer would have been 5 years old. Good Grief! Voceditenore (talk) 12:40, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
