Death year

[edit]

@Bashereyre: I'm not sure quite what to make of this, but I've found several newspaper articles about the death of Alfred George Elliott, former Bishop of Kilmore, Elphian, and Ardagh, at age 85 in London on 15 October 1905, not 1915. They would seem to contradict both this article and Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh on at least three points. Most of the articles are from American papers, with one Australian and one Canadian, and contain almost the exact same text. I couldn't find death notices from any British or Irish papers from 1905 or 1915 on Newspapers.com or NewspaperArchive. So it's possible this was a false report that got picked up and widely distributed, but it might bear more looking into. Nick Number (talk) 17:10, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Double N,

I've just checked my 1908 Crockford's and he's definitely there, still alive living at See House, KIlmore, CavanBashereyre (talk) 18:25, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
