Genealogically Notable
[edit]The subject of this article is genealogically notable and is the subject, in relevant part, of expert discussion by reputable genealogists at "soc.genealogy.medieval" in 2011, which is available online. I won't link here as may contain emails, names, and other personally identifiable information for various living persons. For reference, in case that archive disappears from the web:
"The existing direct male line Careys can be found most prominently in the Viscounts Falkland, who are descended from Sir John Carey of Plashey, elder brother of Sir William Carey who married Mary Boleyn. The current holder of this title is Lucius Edward William Plantagenet Carey, 15th Viscount Falkland. His heir is his eldest son, Lucius Alexander Plantagenet Carey (known as Alexander), Master of Falkland, who was born in 1963. The Master of Falkland has at least two sons with his former wife, the American actress Linda Purl. He has since remarried, but I am unaware of any further children." 2600:4040:5AEF:B400:DD4C:6D1:AE39:1573 (talk) 23:18, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
