I enhanced this page by drawing on the historian at Tabari. The 31st volume of the English translation of at Tabari's history has two hundred and fifty pages of text in translation. I tried to thread a summary of this into the previous brief version of this page which I think has one reference specifically about al-Amin and eunuchs. I hope whoever wrote that account and everyone else sees that I appreciate the previous effort and have only sought to enhance it.Gallador 00:52, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Why was longer version reduced to something lesser? I'm restoring the longer one. Gallador 11:51, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Would the title "Sexual Orientation" be more appropriate?
[edit]It might be more pertinent to modify homosexuality as sexual orientation. Amin had many concubines , he also had sexual relations with them. In addition to homosexuality, bisexuality is also a relatively common sexual orientation. Nor can we directly say that he is homosexual or gay just because he had a love and sexual relationship with an eunuch. In terms of calling him homosexuality or bisexuality, maybe it would be more appropriate to change the title to sexual orientation? 清风与明月 (talk) 09:28, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
