Excessive bolding, redundant wikis

[edit]

This article is not about David Karanka, so he should not be bolded here. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Also, there is no need to wiki "Athletic Bilbao" multiple times; per Wikipedia's manual of style, you link it once, and that's enough. See Wikipedia:Only_make_links_that_are_relevant_to_the_context: Avoid duplicate links on a page. DR31 (talk) 20:07, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Before you start unlinking articles you should check your facts. Bilbao Athletic is a seperate article to Athletic Bilbao. Why have you removed link ?. Djln --Djln 22:53, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake. DR31 (talk) 01:49, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of assistant manager roles from Infobox

[edit]

With the "Template:Infobox football biography", it states that only managerial or head coaching roles should be included within the Infobox. However, such assistant and other roles can be included elsewhere within the article.

What it says in the infobox documentation is
Please do not list positions other than team manager (such as assistant or coach positions, or director of football roles where this role is not considered managerial) unless that position is a significant part of the person's career (my highlighting)
Think a three-year spell as assistant to Mourinho at Real Madrid, during which he learnt the trade at a very high level and without which he likely wouldn't have been considered for the Middlesbrough job, is a significant enough part of Mr Karanka's career to belong in the infobox. Could certainly do with better treatment in the body of the article, though. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 17:08, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
