Lead
Club career
  • "due to his liking of the soft drink Coca-Cola as a child." - reword to the simpler "because he liked the soft drink Coca-Cola as a child." - Done
  • "He embarked on a goalscoring run, scoring six times in his first eight senior appearances, before his run ended after he was sent off during a 1–1 draw against Braga for a stamp on Vincent Sasso." - goalscoring run comes across a little bit as editorializing. If he scored in every game in a row, then that would be different. I would recommend rewording to just state the fact that he scored 6 goals in 8 matches. - Done
  • "converting a penalty during a 2–1 win Braga in the semi-final,[15] and the final of the Taça de Portugal, for only the second time in the club's history." - "converting a penalty in a 2–1 win Braga in the semi-final, and in the final of the Taça de Portugal; this was only the second time in the club's history a player scored a penalty in two consecutive matches."
The second time thing was for his club reaching the final, shows how well I worded it I suppose. I've rejigged the sentence to hopefully be clearer. Kosack (talk) 06:40, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • "However, they suffered defeats to Benfica in both matches" - which matches are we talking about here? During the Taça da Liga? - Done
  • "and helped the side reach the group stage of the Europa League." - replace "the side" with "his side" - Done
  • "In his first season with Braga, Kouka scored fourteen goals in all competitions, including braces against Académica and former club Rio Ave,[37][38] helping the side reach the quarterfinals of the Europa League and win the Taça de Portugal after defeating Porto in a penalty shootout in the final." - recommend splitting into two sentences. - Done
  • "and being named in Egypt's for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations." - you're missing a word here I think. - Done
  • "He finished the season with two goals from fourteen league appearances." - replace "from" with "in" « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 23:08, 14 September 2018 (UTC) - Done[reply]
International career
  • "Kouka received his first call up to the Egyptian senior squad from manager Bob Bradley in January 2013 at the age of nineteen, having played only seven senior matches at club level, for a friendly match against Chile but did not feature in the match." - recommend splitting into two sentences to read better. Maybe after "nineteen" « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 22:53, 14 September 2018 (UTC) - Done[reply]
Career statistics
  • Apps in the table should use the {{Abbr}} template
  • I think "As of match played 30 July 2018" could be better placed as a note under the table.
For the two notes above, I'm following the standard layout at the WP:Football player MoS for stats tables which go against both those. I've never seen the template used in a stats table before and what football biography FA rated articles I can find (Thierry Henry and Steve Bruce) also don't. I have no prob using it, but it would seem odd for me to make this the only footballer article I know of to use it. Kosack (talk) 06:58, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No problem on the layout. Regarding the {{Abbr}} template in the stats table, note that it is used in the infobox. MOS:ACRO mentions that linking or the {{Abbr}} should be used for ambiguous abbreviations. I guess it depends on what your definition of ambiguous is. Either way it won't hold up the nom, but since it's used in the infobox, I think it should be used in the stats table (and that WP:FOOTY should update their MOS). « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:33, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why are the references located above the International matches table? Usually these are placed after the table.
I've added an update marker to give them somewhere sensible to go. Kosack (talk) 06:58, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

References
  • Ref 1, you don't need the website and publisher fields if the names are closely related. Just choose one. - Done
  • Ref 6, the Arab Weekly is a work, or a website (which italicize the text). You have it as the publisher. - Done
  • For the KingFut references that don't have an author, should you use |agency=KingFut Team? Or something similar? I honestly don't know.
In all honesty, I have no idea either. My typical approach with any ref is that, unless it has a definitive author, leave it blank. If the field is required, I've got issue adding it. Kosack (talk) 13:52, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 47, 48, and 49 need access-date parameters. They also use |last name= for FIFA, which isn't correct. These probably need to be updated.- Done
  • Ref 52 has a date listed at the bottom of the page (September 14, 2018), so the date parameter can be filled out. - Done
  • Ref 54 and 55 are either dead or have the wrong urls. - Replaced
  • Ref 55 needs access-date parameters.- Replaced
  • Please go through and make sure all the references are consistent with their use of the |publisher= or |website= fields. I notice a good number that aren't consistent, and even how websites are listed (i.e. some include ".com" and others don't). « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 01:11, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I believe I've addressed this. Some of the statistics sites such as Soccerway and National Football Teams are generated with a ref template, so I'm guessing that's how those ones are meant to be displayed. Kosack (talk)¿
Overall
Thanks for another review, I've marked some off. Will hopefully clear the rest later today. Kosack (talk) 06:58, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Gonzo fan2007: I've gone through the issues listed above. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers. Kosack (talk) 14:02, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Everything looks good. Passed. Cheers, « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:33, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmed Hassan MahgoubAhmed Hassan (footballer, born 1993) – The player is rarely referred to with his full name;; either Ahmed Hassan or simply Koka/Kouka. With that being said, I believe that the name I proposed is the perfect title for this article. Ben5218 (talk) 13:38, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
