Davey Johnson?

[edit]

Under episode 56a 4a "Davey" "Guest Voice: Davey Johnson as "himself" " links to the wikipedia page for A basebal player/manager(http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Davey_Johnson). I watched a short clip of him speaking from an interview about baseball and his voice sounds nothing like the voice of "Davey" from the show. Is there any source that this is the same Davey Johnson? 70.143.69.146 (talk) 08:15, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't the same Davey Johnson. It's a totally different person, hence why the wikilink is gone.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 01:36, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Frost & Ice ?

[edit]

I am suspicious about "Frost & Ice" as announced on the MSN site, because its Air Date is listed as December 5th, a Thursday and not a Monday. There has been no announcement about its airing on a different night, and if the episode IS legit, it should air on either December 2nd or the 9th, both of which are Mondays. -- Glenn L (talk) 05:06, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good points all around, although the series has showed "special" episodes on different days (I'm thinking of "Thank You" which aired only two days after "Jake v. Me-Mow"). It's entirely possible that the title is a miss-spelling of "Frost & Fire", but since we can't prove that, we'll just need to wait and see (unless a member of the crew can confirm it isn't a real episode).--Gen. Quon (Talk) 05:45, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's now official. Jesse Moynihan has confirmed on his Twitter account that "Frost & Ice" is a fake, the result of a typographical error that got on the MSN site. -- Glenn L (talk) 04:00, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this article. Initial comments will hopefully be posted soon. --1ST7 (talk) 07:24, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@1ST7:: just a heads-up that Blurred Lines has been blocked indefinitely for sockpuppetry. You might just give this a week to see if the block sticks and then fail it, unless someone else wants to step into the breach. -- Khazar2 (talk) 23:25, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the notification. That's unfortunate. I'll give it a week to see if the nominator is cleared; if not, then I'll fail it. --1ST7 (talk) 02:05, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be willing to fix any issues! I've also replaced myself as the nominator, as I'm actually the one who has done the most work on the page. Don't know if that's kosher or not. :)--Gen. Quon (Talk) 17:06, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Thanks for taking this up. I will try to have the initial comments posted in the next few hours. --1ST7 (talk) 03:40, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the review:

  1. Well-written
  2. Verifiable with no original research:
    • Refs 47, 69, 51, 71, 28, 31, and 25 are to Twitter.
    • Refs 6, 23, 54, 65, and 92 are to Tumblr.
    • Refs 21, 30, and 46 are to YouTube. I don't believe any of these websites are allowed to be used as sources on Wikipedia.
While it is true that many of these are self-published sources, all of them are from either the production staff (most of the Twitter cites are from writers/producers from the series announcing guest stars, and most of the Tumblr sources are the writers talking about behind-the-scenes info). The YouTube ones are largely interviews, and I believe would be allowed since they are primary sources (one is a video a panel presentation, and the other is an interview with Hynden Walch). Since none of these sources are unduly self-serving, involve claims about third parties, or involve claims about events not directly related to the source, as well as the fact that there is no reasonable doubt as to its authenticity, and the article is not based primarily on such sources (15 out of 116 is only about 13%), they fulfill the criteria to be included per WP:SELFPUB.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 18:17, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I read through WP:SELFPUB and now believe that the sources used should be alright (seeing as the manual specifically states that Twitter and Tumblr are allowed as sources if they meet the criteria, which they seem to in this case). --1ST7 (talk) 06:41, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Broad in its coverage:
  4. Neutral:
  5. Stable:
    • "According to both storyboard artist Jesse Moynihan and storyboard artist and former character designer Andy Ristaino, the season will contain 52 episodes, twice the normal number of episodes per season." This looks like it could go out of date in the near future. Per WP:REALTIME, it's best to avoid using present tense. How about "storyboard artist Jesse Moynihan and storyboard artist and former character designer Andy Ristaino confirmed that the season will contain 52 episodes, twice the normal number of episodes per season"?
      Done.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 18:17, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Illustrated, if possible, by images:

Thanks again for taking up the task of responding to comments. I'll put this on hold for a week to give you time to address these issues. --1ST7 (talk) 06:00, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How does it all look now?--Gen. Quon (Talk) 19:39, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Good. Just one question left: as the season is not yet finished, are you planning to continue updating the article until it is complete? I'm asking to be certain that any future episodes added to the list will comply with the Wikipedia manual of style. --1ST7 (talk) 07:54, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I do plan on it. I've been working on this article since it was created in November of 2012, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon! :)--Gen. Quon (Talk) 15:48, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, it's good to go then. Congratulations, and thanks for your work! --1ST7 (talk) 03:24, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Season 5 and The Official Youtube Channel

[edit]

The only official listing of seasons I can find anywhere, the pay-per-view Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/show/adventure-time/playlists ), divides season 5 into season 5 and 6, and calls the current season "season 7". I am not sure how much other official information counteracts this, bust just wanted to mention this. Is there any other official curated listings of the seasons that counteract this? Wisnoskij (talk) 02:44, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's an understandable assumption to make, but an erroneous one. There was a season 5, and a "season 5.2" (the so-called season 6). Currently, the show is on its sixth season. Some sources, largely pay-per-view and retail sites like Amazon and iTunes erroneously call season 5.2 (which is technically a part of season 5) 'season 6', but this is wrong. Season 5.1 and 5.2 'combine' to equal season 5. This is backed up by a whole plethora of citations, like TV Guide, The AV Club, and even the Adventure Time website.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 03:43, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I tried that official site. It must have some country filer as it does not seem to have any relevant info when I tried it both now and earlier.--Wisnoskij (talk) 03:51, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
