Some good content in the COI edit by current owner/publisher

[edit]

Yesterday (15 Mar 2021), the current owner/publisher added new content to the article, and while his edits were reverted because he has very clear COI, and also wrote some of the text in a very promotional style, there are some points in there that merit inclusion. Some I note include:

  •  Done A couple of typos in the current text related to NENPA.
  •  Done Historical note that the paper published twice weekly since the 1980s until 2020 when it switched to being weekly.
  •  Done Clarification in History that paper was owned until 1976 by William Slator and his wife.
  • Mention of sister papers in Brandon and Killington
  • Mention of sale of three other papers (Essex Reporter, Colchester Sun and Milton Independent) in 2019. (There should be a source for this somewhere online.)

Sources are needed for some points, but the edits would be good to make to the article. Some of the edits might also be appropriate to other related pages as well. He also added additional text about current staff, etc., that is not what we include in encyclopedia-style articles.

I don't know when/if I'll have time to make some of these changes, but I'm just flagging this here in case others do have the time. - Dyork (talk) 13:57, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
