Title problem
[edit]Hi Dlfriebe,
The title of this article doesn't match Wikipedia article naming conventions: definite and indefinite articles should not be used, for example, and the plural of Grammy is Grammys (no apostrophe). Maybe something like "Criticism of the Grammys" would work well, because then you could make it a bit more general, and merge some of the content from Grammy_Award#Criticism, which would be a good thing, because that section is overlong already. If that works for you, I can rename the article for you. --Slashme (talk) 11:33, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

- I think the title of this article should be changed to "Criticism of the Grammys", so it is more inclusive of the other issues the awards show has faced in the past. Jcassone (talk) 22:19, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Relevance
[edit]Does this even merit a full article? Also, much of the problems mentioned here are either due to opinion (this record winning over that record) or unrelated to racism altogether, like the notion that Grammy voters go for well-known names. Seems arbitrary and unnecessary to me. JimboB (talk) 00:57, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
- I think this does deserve a full article. If you look at the talk page for the Grammy Award wikipedia page, a lot of users comment about how large the criticisms section is and would prefer it to be just a summary. Therefore, it would be a good idea to have a separate page where those criticisms could be elaborated upon. However, I do think it would be beneficial to broaden this page up from just racial bias to include other criticisms of the awards show, such as ageism and gender bias.Jcassone (talk) 15:40, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
Move to the Criticism section of the Grammys?
[edit]Maybe this needs to be moved, cause this is a small page that could be moved there. Also it doesn't only criticise the alleged racial bias but also the voting process in general so if not maybe rename the page — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.15.241.95 (talk) 10:23, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
