section on Austria
[edit]I'm working on an edit substantially cutting down the "Abendgymnasien in Austria" section, which is at the moment a detailed description of two individual institutions in Vienna and Salzburg that's tagged as being written like an essay. I don't have time to do the research needed to add a more general overview on Abendgymnasien in Austria, but if the section is going to focus on individual schools I don't think it needs the level of detail (especially given that it's mostly relying on self-published sources at the moment). Hopefully this improves the tone as well. If someone wants to write about these schools at that level of detail, I think it would be better to create Abendgymnasium Wien and Abendgymnasium Salzburg (and de:Abendgymnasium Wien / de:Abendgymnasium Salzburg would be good starting points).
In the process I'm also removing several paragraphs about anti-Semitic graffiti and related controversies at Abendgymnasium Wien. This material might be relevant for an article on that school (though it's currently sourced to a couple of personal essays/op-eds, and - while I admittedly don't speak German - I wasn't able to find much independent coverage) but seems far too specific for a section in an article about this category of school as such.
Of course, I'm happy for other editors to add back material they think is especially worth including in this section, but I think cutting it down will be an improvement for now. Opus 113 (talk) 06:56, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
